Britney Spears Fan's Forum

I know this info is extremely scarce however i heard a band which consists primarily of synths controlled by one man and also a drummer. Apparently they are popular but not what you would consider "mainstream." The sound is more of a soundscape almost like a movie soundtrack and there was no vocals. I once even seen a concert of them on youtube but cant remember the name for anything. One thing i remember thinking the strings in one song sounded like the strings in the britney spears song "toxic" but the band im thinking of is nothing i would categorize as pop. Once again i know there is a lot of music out there so i appreciate any input anyone has.
